Please can I have some of your steak

Dexter told Delilah that Mom is mean. She cooked a steak on the grill tonight and would not share with him even though he used all of his best manners. He said he sat up straight in the chair and tried to be patient, but Mom just ignored him.

Delilah told Dexter that the problem was that Mom had already fed him - twice. She told him that he couldn't have been hungry after eating wet and dry food.

Dexter told Delilah that he would NOT have eaten those foods if he had known that steak was going to be on the menu. He said he will get even by waking Mom up at 3am tomorrow. That will teach her to share!

Hello! I just saw on the Cat Blogosphere's posting that you're new. I am too, though I've been writing about my cats for some time. Dexter seems to be a very smart animal, and Delilah has an excellent teacher. Just between you and me, with manners like Dexter's, I probably would have given him a tiny bit of steak. Just a little.

Our humans have trouble sharing their food too.

We read about your blog over at the Cat Blogosphere, and stopped in welcome you. :)

Dexter and Delilah ... we totally understand. We sometimes wish our parents would give us a little more "heads up" on what's for dinner, too.

Have a great weekend.

Well, of course Dexter wouldn't have eaten those foods if he had known about the steak. But he saved some room for it. So not even a nibble? Your mom is mean. Like our Jan.

That really was mean. Even after two meals, Dexter could eaten a nibble or two of that steak. If nothing else, the Mom could have saved a little bit for later.
