Be sure to have a regular exercise routine

Dexter told Delilah that regular exercise is crucial to making sure you have a long and healthy life. He assured her he is very dedicated and diligent with his exercise routine. In fact, he works out regularly doing Feed Me Yoga in front of the cabinet where his parents store his food.

It is the perfect location with a nice soft blue carpet and plenty of space to roll around and stretch. Although he likes the cat and dog yoga poses, his favorite yoga pose is the upside-down snake pose. To do this one you have to get on your back and stretch. Make sure you are close to a wall or cabinet so you can push-off with your back foot and propel yourself across the floor. It feels great on your back and gets lots of attention from your parents who think it is hilarious to watch.

Don't forget while exercising to keep that tail in shape too. Be sure to swish it back and forth.

Finally, be sure to allow the right amount of time for your Feed Me Yoga. It takes about 10 minutes of Yoga before your parents will give in and get out the food. So don't start too early before mealtime or you might have to do it twice.

Get hypnotised by the Birds

Dexter told Delilah that she has way too much energy racing around the house all the time and chasing his tail when he is trying to relax. He explained to her that it would be good for her to meditate occasionally. The easiest way to meditate is to sit by the back window and let the birds hypnotize you.

It is really rather easy. Just find a comfortable position that is secure enough that you won't fall over and stare straight ahead at the bird feeder that is hanging in the tree. Remember don't blink! Just keep staring and soon you will be in a stress-free, relaxing place in your mind.

A bonus is that your Mom and Dad will think you are engrossed in the birds and will continue to put seed in the feeder to keep the birds around. This is good because it just isn't the same trying to get hypnotized by butterflies or rabbits.

Just one warning. Don't forget to come out of your trance in time for dinner. You don't want to miss dinner.

Creative Sleeping Tricks

Dexter told Delilah that she must remember to be creative when looking for places and positions for sleeping. Life can get boring with just sleeping and eating all day. It is critical to be imaginative in your every day activities to keep your yourself young.

The views outside are very enticing on a sunny spring day, but windowsills are tricky places for sleeping. It helps to find a good prop to help you stay balanced and secure so that you won't roll off when you are chasing birds in your dreams.

Remember to do your daily stretching

Dexter told Delilah that stretching is so very important. It keeps you limber and lithe and will help you stay nimble for leaping onto places you aren't supposed to go. It also helps when you need to leap down again when your Mom yells at you to get down.

You must stretch every time you get up and sometimes while walking across the room you should just stop midway and give a big tail-in-the-air stretch. Sunbathing is another good opportunity. You are already flat out on your back so you can really get a big stretch going and it feels just awesome! And stretch everything - even your jaw muscles.

Don't let them touch your claws.

Dexter told Delilah that when he came to live with this family they thought it was a good idea to make him continue to wear the "soft claws" that someone had put on him. They couldn't find orange ones to fit, so they tried blue. Dexter was livid and insisted that from now on he would go "au natural". He told Delilah, "If you give in, who knows what other indignities they will try on you."

Remember to look cute when your sleeping

Dexter told Delilah how important it is to make sure you look as cute as possible when sleeping. If you look adorable no one will wake you up. They will just ooh and aah over you. The only risk is that you will wake up to find that someone has taken your picture and posted it on the internet - so make sure you look great!

Don't run - lie down and take it

Dexter told Delilah that she shouldn't run away from little girls when they visit. If you do, they just chase you and try to make you come out from under the bed. Instead, if you just lie down and look as cute as possible they will surround you like a harem and give you lots of pets and under-chin-scratches until you fall asleep.
